Why We Created OK Cameron
OK Cameron started the way many great ideas do: with two tired parents watching kids’ shows and thinking, “There has to be another way.”
Cameron and Breanna wanted something their kids would genuinely love—something colorful, silly, adventurous, and fun—but they also wanted stories that encouraged curiosity, kindness, imagination, and good choices. Just as importantly, they wanted to make a show that parents wouldn’t secretly dread hearing from the next room.
So they took Cameron’s filmmaking experience, Breanna’s experience in early childhood education, added a healthy dose of parenthood, tossed in some songs, stories, and general nonsense, threw it all in a pot, cooked it on high for two and a half minutes… and out popped OK Cameron!
The result is a show made to entertain kids, sneak in a little learning, and hopefully make the grown-ups laugh along the way.
Meet Cameron
Long before Cameron built a career in the film and video industry, he was busy making friends and family laugh with silly antics, clever jokes, and songs he usually made up on the spot. Becoming a dad gave all that creativity a new direction—and inspired him to chase a dream of creating the kind of kids’ entertainment he would actually want to sit down and enjoy with his own family.
With years of professional filmmaking experience and a lifelong love of being a goofball, Cameron began turning those spontaneous songs, stories, and ideas into something bigger. The result was OK Cameron: a colorful world of adventure, imagination, learning, and plenty of silliness made for kids—and the grown-ups watching right alongside them.
Meet Breanna
For 17 years, Breanna spent her days in the wonderfully energetic world of preschool education, helping little ones learn, grow, explore, and discover the world around them. When her own family began to grow, she stepped away from the classroom—but the teacher in her never really left.
Today, Breanna brings those years of experience, along with everything she’s learned as a mom, to the world of OK Cameron. As a co-creator, creative partner, and Cameron’s trusty sidekick, she helps make sure the fun is grounded in the way kids actually learn, play, and see the world.
And every now and then, Cameron even listens to her.
Made With a Little Help From Our Friends
OK Cameron may be a grassroots production, but there’s a whole lot of professional filmmaking happening behind the scenes.
The show is brought to life with the help of talented filmmakers, artists, and creative professionals who generously contribute their time and skills because they believe in what Cameron and Breanna are building. Many of them are parents themselves, excited to help create something fun, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable for families.
It’s a small team with big ambitions—combining years of professional experience with the scrappy, collaborative spirit of people making something they truly care about. Every set, shot, song, effect, and wonderfully ridiculous idea gets the same attention to craft you’d expect from a much larger production.
Of course, there’s another reason everyone keeps coming back: nobody is entirely sure what Cameron is going to ask them to do next.
